Chronicling A Career

Many of us go through careers, but this one is also a love affair. 

Elsie Houck the wife of Hudson Houck decided to compile a cohesive photo journal of her husband’s 28-year career as  coach of NFL football teams. 

She was in possession of hundreds of articles, awards, photos, and mementos about her coach husband, and wanted to create an album as a Holiday Gift.  It appeared to be an overwhelming task 

Then one day, Elise Houck was impressed by a portfolio album she came across in a corporate lobby.  She liked the content, style and quality.  She contacted Executive Organizing Consultants (EOC), the creator of this album.  Over a period of several months, EOC met with Ms. Houck to teach her organize, select, journal, mount, and enhance her own photographic journals.  By the end of workshops, Ms. Houck was able to complete the two volume book on her own.  The she had it engraved and presented it to the coach with great pride.  He reacted with tremendous gratitude.  “I had no idea I had accomplished so much!” he said.

Hudson Houck is to be envied: not only did he have a dream job as an NFL coach—for the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, and Dallas Cowboys through two Super Bowls—but also, he has a beautiful wife Elsie who has chosen to honor his career in photographs.  For coach Houck, this gift has helped to preserve the past, savor the present, and inspire hope for the future.
